This is a pristine and totally original Bentley Arnage LWB by Mulliner, finished in Arctica white handsomely contrasted with rich red Fireglow hides and matching Wilton wool carpets. This is NOT your standard Arnage sedan but the bespoked coach-built Long Wheel Base edition which is almost 10” longer than the standard body. To keep aesthetic proportions, the extra length is shared in the front doors, rear doors AND the C pillar. The driver has an extra 2” available leg room with the rear compartment gaining a massive extra 8” of space. New, this coach-built Arnage was some $50,000 more expensive than the standard Arnage, coming in at well over $300,000. This is predominantly a Californian car its whole life ~ Beverly Hills and Palm Springs ~ and also spent a few years in between, so she completely clean and dry throughout. This is the "purist" Arnage with the traditional Rolls-Royce Cosworth engineered 6.75 litre turbo-charged V8 coupled to a 4 speed automatic transmission. With some 835Nm of torque, it boasted the greatest amount of torque for any 4-door car at the time. It delivered very well for the cars sporting namesake. This is a beautiful and commanding Arnage LWB that presents in almost perfect condition. A very shiny, deep lustred paint-finish which appears to be completely original with no notable dings, scratches or marks. The special ordered Fireglow red leather interior presents very handsomely and looks simply stupendous on the Arnage. The leather is excellent condition. What many do not realise is that the interior of the Arnage is entirely upholstered in Connolly hide, including roof-lining, door trim and surrounds, dash-board and console – there is no visible vinyl used anywhere in the interior. Some 15 hides are used in the upholstery process. The Wilton wool carpeting throughout is excellent and is elegantly accented with over-lay rugs. The wood is deep-toned Italian Burl Walnut which is a rich red-brown colour that sets off the interior colour scheme just perfectly. The door cappings have sterling silver “Bentley” logos elegantly in-laid. The finish is excellent all-round but for some hairline marks in the back-seat picnic tables and a couple of other spots but not objectionable and only mentioned out of clear disclosure. All chrome and bright-work is excellent, as is glass, rubbers and other finishes around the car. All features and functions are fully operational. Mechanically, the car has been completely gone thru by Park-Ward Motors with all services up to date. With a comprehensive service records that come with the car, it displays all the hallmarks of a well, no-expense spared, maintained Californian example with a totally dry environment and a clean underside that looks that of a near new example. Showing a modest 48,000 miles. Although. if you were told the car had done only 20,000 miles, you would believe it.
