Here is a really stunning looking Rolls-Royce Silver Spur II finished in special order “Diamond Black (a very dark high metallic rich blue) with black Connolly hide interior. The twin fine lines to the waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings are hand-painted in light grey. This is a 30,000 series SZ so it has many upgrades over the 81-89 cars. It is an interesting car in that, although it was built to American specifications, it was originally shipped to Japan where it resided up to 2002. It was then imported into California when showing some 22,000 miles and a few years later into Illinois whereby it covered only an additional10,000 miles in the last 15 years. It was owned by a small but conscientious car collector who never drove the car in the winter nor inclement weather so she is superbly clean throughout. This Spur II is very well known to us having been fully maintained whereby everything and anything needed to be done has been attended to. The car has travelled a modestly low 40,500 miles. The body of the car is straight and the paint in excellent condition. It is entirely consistent and very deep in lustre and shine. There is a small break in the paint fore of the right rear door handle but is not glaringly obvious (and it does not even show in the photos). There are hardly any chips and marks other than very minor ones here and there but these are few and only show if one looks hard. Otherwise it is very shiny without any fading, dents or dings. Rubbers, mouldings, badges and external fittings are all in excellent condition. The interior of this car is stunning. The Connolly leather shows beautifully and is completely original. It has never been re-dyed or messed with and yet remains very soft and supple without any signs of typical wear. The wood throughout is excellent and can comfortably be described so with only the most insignificant hairline lacquer cracks, chips or marks. And, of course, the 30,000 series cars have the beautiful teak in-lay that is truly in tune with the best of wood-working craftsmanship. The interior is nicely finished with a set of black lambswool moutons to all seating positions. There are bespoke umbrellas fitted in the boot. Carpets, seats, dash, front top-roll, rear parcel shelf, headliner and fixtures are truly excellent and I best encourage you to look at all the photos to fully appreciate how nicely the interior presents. In one of the photos, we have displayed what the car would look like with ROW (“Rest of the World”) spec rectangular headlights. If you prefer that option please enquire at time of purchase (this is an added cost). This Silver Spur II is part of Park-Ward's “Predelivery Commissioning” program. All our cars are put through the workshop to make sure every major and minor service is done and anything needing attention done so. This covers not just mechanical items but operational features. All electricals and features & functions are inspected to ensure everything is operating as it should; windows, seats, mirrors, A/C, heater, lights, wipers, etc. This provides the new owner a true, "take the keys and drive" example with no additional budget needed to attend to any nuances or gremlins. When describing a car for sale, one should be very careful to use terms like "perfect" and "flawless" because nothing but a brand new car can be described this way. That said, this Silver Spur II is close to, is of a very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating.
