1971 Rolls-Royce Corniche

A lovely example of a Corniche convertible. Finished in Old Ivory with rich tan Connolly hides. The twin coach-lines are matched to the interior tan for that handsome touch. A very desirable and mature colour of the era and not often seen here in the US. The Corniche design with its signature rear quarter "hip-line" is unquestionably one of the most elegant of coach-work designs provided by Rolls-Royce's coach-builder - Mulliner Park-Ward. It has tested the time for elegance and style enduring no less than 30 years in production (1966-1996). This being a 1971 model with the early style full chrome bumpers combined with their lower poise, really make for a handsome motorcar and present amongst the best of Mulliner Park-Ward's offerings. This is a good clean example that has been nicely maintained and presents in fine condition. She has been work-shop inspected with all work needed carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. It is ready to drive and enjoy. It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. The interior is in very decent shape although not perfect but quite nice for driver use. The front seats show a little more age than one might hope for but they free from tears or rips. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is nice and showing the typical light crazing that you often see. It is not bad but simply mentioned for clear disclosure. Revert to the photos and you will see how nice it presents. The convertible top and head lining is about 10 years-new and presents very nicely. The carpets with leather binding are in good condition. Likewise is the leather finish to the dash and top-roll. The boot (trunk) carpet is in "acceptable" condition. The body on this Corniche is very true and the paint is shiny and lustrous. It does however show sign of age with minor crazing in some areas. I have captured these imperfections in the photographs. As a driver-condition car, one could leave them as-is because overall the paint presents shiny and clean. But, if you are perfectionist, you might want us to redo these areas. We have a fully qualified in-house body-shop and rectifying these is a straight forward job for our craftsmen. Please feel free to enquire. Rest assured the paint presents as you see in the photos. When you look down the sides of the car, they are very straight. The car has relatively new Cooper whitewall tyres fitted with plenty of tread and the hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless rings or caps. All remaining bright-work is in good condition. All electrics and operational features are guaranteed working to specification right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Even the clock keeps good time! Under the bonnet, the presentation is clean and tidy with all the signs of a well maintained example. As you would expect, this Corniche comes with its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. The car is of a high standard and is an easy 8 out of 10 driver rating.
